The SPRC is affiliated to a number of National and local cycling organisations:

  • CYCLING TIME TRIALS (RTTC) – the National Body for time trials
  • BRITISH CYCLING –The National Body for Road, Track, Mountain Bike, BMX, and Cyclo Cross (BCCA) racing.
  • BURTON AND DISTRICT CYCLING ALLIANCE (BDCA) – an association of local cycling clubs
  • CENTRAL DISTRICT LADIES CYCLING ASSOCIATION
  • NOTTS AND DERBY CYCLO CROSS LEAGUE

Many Club members are also members of the Veteran’s Time Trial Association, the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists, the Cyclists Touring Club and Audax UK, the last two concerned with cyclo touring.

In order to enter any event run under CTT Rules and Regulations it is essential that a cyclist be a member of an affiliated club. For BC events the cyclist must hold a current racing licence and therefore be a BC member either through their club (e.g. SPRC) or as a private member.

Junior and Juvenile members need to present a completed parental consent form each year before they are allowed to compete in CTT and BC (including SPRC) events. Juveniles must be 12 years and over to compete on solo machines in events held on open or public roads.
