South Pennine Road Club

Founded in 1962, South Pennine Road Club was formed to enable its members to race in time trials, a tradition that continues strongly today...

Based in South Derbyshire and the Southern Peak District, the club runs a regular time trial program during the summer evenings as well as promoting a number of ‘Open’ events and a hill climb.

We also have a monthly track session at the Derby velodrome.

Members are usually out for social rides from Willington, ending up at the Salt Box, on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.

Through the year we hold various social gatherings both on and off the bike, from the Annual Dinner to the Summer Barbeque and Freewheel Competition.

Club members also take part in ultra and endurance cycling races, trail / road quest events (mountain bike / road cycle orienteering), cyclo cross races, audaxs, triathlons and duathlons.

South Pennine is proud to have amongst its members some of the most respected  time keepers, event organisers, course measurers and officials in the sport of time trialling.
